Different types of Veg Sandwiches you can eat for lunch

What would work be without the customary break every afternoon? We would be sans the meal that fuels our system to go on through the rest of the day. Sandwiches, for that matter, can be eaten for any meal of the day, but they fit lunchtime perfectly. They’re easy to prepare and have. However, it can be puzzling at best to choose the ingredients which make it all the more toothsome.

The sacred constituents of Sandwich creation
Bread – You cannot call a sandwich supreme without the right bread. Choose the bread depending on the ingredients like dry breads for moist filling

Toast – You may grill, toast, heat it or have it as it is. Remember that toasting the bread brings out its sweetness

Spread – You can use mayonnaise, BBQ, mustard, hung curd, pesto and many more depending on your taste preferences

Veggies – Depending on your crunch demand, add carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers or alternatively, go for greens like lettuce, spinach or cabbage

Always keep it simple. Too many sauces and ingredients will spoil the sandwich. Balanced flavours add up to a sumptuous delight and therefore, use minimal sauces if the ingredients are overpowering.
Read on for a few sandwich preparations that’ll make your day post lunch:

Cream Cheese Sandwich
The love for cream cheese sandwiches can hardly be lost. They are delectable and yet simply made. Add a little crunch to the sandwich by adding bell peppers and herbs. Refreshing and light, cream cheese sandwich with customized veggies is a favourite among most age groups.

Grilled Potato Sandwich
While the grilled cheese is a staple, grilled potato takes it to another level. You might even add ‘pudina chutney’ to give it an Indian flavour. A wholesome choice – makes up for a hearty lunch and keeps you going through the second half.

Eggplant Sandwich
You’re in for a treat if you like eggplant. The vegetable tastes delicious with Italian crusty bread and you can use garlic butter to bring some flavour. Add some tomato sauce, fried eggplant and lots of mozzarella cheese and snack away while others drool.

Nutella & Banana Sandwich
Yes, it does sound like a dessert, but it fills you up like any other sandwich. The banana nutella combination doesn’t need any introduction.  Spread nutella on challah bread, add slices of bananas and grill it. You have a sandwich that is irresistible yet healthy.

Spinach and Corn Sandwich
The freshly boiled spinach and corn bring a contrast of flavours to your sandwich. Moreover, it’s perfect for the ones who can’t do without the greens. Add grated cheese to make it creamier.
You can always choose the healthier alternatives of bread. For example, multigrain bread benefits can hardly be compared to those of whole wheat or white bread. Multigrain is the outright winner.
