Planning A One-Day Picnic? Pack These Delicious Treats Along

Aren’t picnics the most amazing times that we all feel good about? From school times to 
family get together, picnics have always held special place in our hearts. Discussing and 
laughing over things that matter and revelling in the glory of good food; one can ever get 
enough of it! While you are at it, planning a picnic menu can be tricky. You never know if 
the food is liked by any one or if the quality of food remains intact! 

But there are plenty of delicious treats that you can take for picnics. Dishes that don’t 
require you to slog off in the kitchen or that won’t rot over time. Absolutely delectable 
in taste, we picked our favourite picnic recipes of all times that one can take along.

Salads: More akin to the health-conscious people, salads are absolutely crunchy and summer 
fresh that one will definitely enjoy eating, regardless of being health conscious or not. 
A basic salad consisting of farm fresh veggies like onions, capsicum, cucumber, tomatoes, 
some brown bread crumbs and green lettuce can be refashioned and turned more delightful by 
adding chicken chunks and dressings like sweet onion or vinaigrette sauce. 

Fritters and Fries: Now who doesn’t love fried food? Deep fry the fritters and fries and 
take sweet chilli dipping sauce on the side to dunk maximum! You can also sprinkle some 
seasonings over it all. Don’t forget to remove excessive oil from the fried food. There is 
always a chance of them getting soggy, but if you wrap well; the crispiness will stay and 
it will taste crunchy as ever.

Sandwiches: Again, a universal dish enjoyed by both children and adults; sandwiches are an 
item that you will savour for long. Spread the best sauce over thewhole bread and put 
vegetables as per your liking. If you want, put salami slices for a hearty taste. Don’t 
forget dips like teriyaki sauce on the side that will instantly heighten the taste. 

Drinks: Lots of water and cool drinks must be taken to picnics. How about the easiest like 
iced tea that everyone can take pleasure in? Take copious amounts of iced tea filled in 
big jars to quench the thirst!  

Fruits: One can never go wrong with fruits. Fill your basket full with all the snacks and 
fruits. Apples, guavas, berries and oranges!    

So, get a mat, basket full of edible goodies and a Frisbee to play with, you sure are 
sorted for a summer picnic!
